Laia Charles Saigne
Ad-Hoc Officer (she/her)
Laia Charles Saigne is a U3 student completing a B.A. in Honours Political Science with minors in Environment and Management. As the Ad-Hoc Officer, she oversees and guides the two Ad-Hoc teams in new initiatives. Driven by a commitment to building fair and equitable societies, she believes MYAD provides an invaluable platform for amplifying youth voices and advancing their interests in international decision-making spaces.

Cate Laskey
Ad-Hoc Member (she/her)
Cate is a third year student pursuing a degree in History and Economics whose studies reflect a desire to better understand inequality, social change, and the forces that shape historical and economic development. Influenced by her academic background, Cate's interest in MYAD’s Agri-Food Ad-Hoc group stems from a desire to make a tangible impact while learning more about different issues and how they affect various communities, particularly in the face of a changing climate. She is particularly interested in equitable climate action and adaptation strategies driven by youth and community members.

Chenai Sabeta-Boadi
Ad-Hoc Member (she/her)
Chenai is pursuing a concentration in Finance with a minor in Political Science. She joined MYAD to start her career path to diplomacy and chose to focus on the Agri-Food System to share and integrate ideas to solve world hunger. Chenai would like to explore innovative ways to promote sustainable nutrition, borrowing from indigenous foods and practices around the world.

Dena Ojaghi
Ad-Hoc Member (she/her)
Dena Ojaghi has spent her time at McGill integrating and immersing herself with her passions for international relations. Along with a major in political science and world Middle East studies she engages in various opportunities like McGill model Un, women in international security and now MYAD! She is excited to use her robust background in policy advocacy and law to bring proactive change to the agri food team while fostering new relationships with the amazing peers she gets to work with.

Kaylah Curley
Ad-Hoc Member (she/her)
Kaylah studies Education in Global Contexts and International Development, with a focus on how education can be used as a tool to address global issues at their root. She has a particular interest in conflict resolution and peace negotiations. Kaylah joined MYAD to contribute to meaningful work and to gain experience in policy development and editing.

Rio Justice
Ad-Hoc Member (she/her)
Rio is passionate about applying academic knowledge to real-world issues, especially in conflict resolution and negotiation strategies that reflect the realities of those affected. Her policy interests are centred on a feminist perspective, with a focus on the gendered impacts of issues like water scarcity and healthcare disparities, ensuring women’s voices are uplifted. Committed to the power of collective action, she joined MYAD to advocate for inclusivity and to ensure women are represented and heard in policy discussions.

Joshua Farmer
Ad-Hoc Member (he/him)
Josh was interested in joining MYAD to pursue his interests in policy editing, UN negotiations, and coalition building with international organizations. He believes in the importance of amplifying youth voices so he tries to be an advocate for youth. This year, he is eager to dedicate his full attention to shaping and contributing to the very first UN Tax Convention.

Judy Zeng

Judy is currently in her final year at McGill and is in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences studying Political Science and Statistics. Judy originally joined MYAD in her second year because she loves working with the passionate individuals on the team, as well as contributing to meaningful conversation about youth advocacy! Now in her third year at MYAD as a Ad-Hoc member for international taxation, she is exciting to work on policies regarding fair taxation frameworks.

Aren Bedros is studying a double major in Political Science and Statistics with a minor in Economics. He is passionate about public policy and joined the McGill Youth Advisory Delegation to gain hands-on experience in policy research and consulting. His main interests include improving global healthcare, education, and housing infrastructure to promote equitable and sustainable development.

Rojina Aliakbar Shirazi

Rojina Aliakbar Shirazi is an Honours Political Science student with a minor in Economics at . Her academic work spans a wide range of topics, including environmental politics, political economy, and international organizations. As a taxation ad hoc member of MYAD, she is particularly interested in emerging policy issues at the intersection of governance and economics. She hopes to contribute to discussions that address new and evolving challenges in global and domestic policy.
